Find your true inner balance.

Your metabolism – your sex hormones, electrolytes, levels of inflammation, and thyroid – affects how you look, feel, and perform, as well as how quickly you age and succumb to disease.

Keeping it in balance is the key to health.

Measuring it is how you know whether or not you’re in balance.

Unfortunately, most people have no idea what their internal health looks like.

Beginning around age 30, your metabolism starts to change.

Through annual testing, you can see trends that point to future problems, long before they become health issues.

For your annual physical (if you get one), your doctor typically orders only lipids, glucose, and maybe thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH). He or she doesn’t order more, unless you have serious symptoms of a disease.

Using lipids, glucose, and TSH to make assumptions about the health of your metabolism is like landing in the middle of a Nebraska corn field, and assuming that’s what the entire world looks like.

There’s way more to the world than the corn field. There’s way more going on in your metabolism than your lipids, glucose, and TSH.

If your doctor doesn’t order the labs for you, order them on your own.

Which brings us to WellnessFX, an easy and affordable way to get all the biomarkers measured to make sure your health and fitness is headed in the right direction.

I believe WellnessFX is the best blood testing solution, which is why it’s the only one I recommend (unfortunately, it’s only available in the United States).

Before picking your panel, check out the following four frequently asked questions.

"Why do you think WellnessFX is the best blood testing company?"

Aside from being very competitive with their pricing, WellnessFX doesn't just sell you lab tests. The platform helps educate you about what your numbers mean. It's hard to even find a conventional doctor that will do that.

Your data is tracked over time, and each of the lab markers include enough education to help you understand what the numbers mean.

Your results are usually ready about 10 business days after your lab draw. You'll receive an email notification, and then you're able to access all your biomarkers from your personal dashboard.

Of course, with this being private health data, it's all HIPAA compliant as well.

"What does the lab draw process look like?"

Immediately after you order your lab package, you'll recieve an email from WellnessFX with your lab requisition. You must bring a copy of your lab requsition to your blood draw or they will not be able to draw your blood.

Also, to make your lab draw as accurate as possible:

  • Do not drink alcohol the night before your lab draw.
  • Get a good night's sleep.
  • Do not eat anything, and drink only water prior to your blood draw.
  • Do not take medications or supplements (unless absolutely necessary).
  • Get your blood drawn as early as possible. Most labs open at 8 am.

Food, caloric beverages, and medications can all influence the results of your lab test, so follow the bullet points above to get the most value from your test.

Your phlebotomist will use multiple vials during your draw, as you're getting many different types of tests done. However, even if you do the Premium Panel, the total blood drawn is only 1/6 of the amount you'd have drawn if you were donating blood.

"Is WellnessFX available in all states?"

You can complete your WellnessFX lab testing in all but the following states: NY, NJ, RI, MD, ND, SD, and HI.

These states do not allow consumers to purchase their own lab tests. WellnessFX is not available outside the United States.

"Can I use a Health Savings Account (HSA) card to pay for testing?"

Yes. If you need an itemized receipt, you can contact WellnessFX after you have received your results.

WellnessFX Premium Panel

I always recommend the Premium Panel if it’s your first time getting comprehensive lab testing. The price might seem high, but it’s a fraction of the price you’d be charged if it went through insurance and your doctor.

WellnessFX Performance Panel

If you simply can’t swing the Premium Panel, the Performance Panel is a good one. Though it doesn’t tell you quite the complete picture, its WAY better than relying on how you look and feel.
