Personal Training for Men in Hudson, Wisconsin
I can help you get stronger, leaner, and fitter. Fast.
If you need a no-nonsense fitness professional to help you get stronger, leaner, and fitter as fast as possible and a program that fits into your lifestyle, you found the right trainer.
We’ll train in our private studio that looks out, into the woods of what was once Rolling Ridges Girl Scout Camp in Hudson Township. It’s an experience unlike any other in the area and when weather permits, we might take part of your training session into the woods.
Aside from the private studio and wildlife just outside the windows…
I offer my clients…
- Expertise: More than 20 years of experience, education, and personal experimentation (I live what I teach)
- Simplicity: Practical programming and guidance so that fitness betters your life and doesn’t become your life
- Candor: Our time is limited and valuable, so I don’t beat around the bush when discussing your health and the nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle choices you need to change to improve it
I expect my clients to…
- Follow their strength and conditioning program, even when it’s inconvenient
- Stick to their nutrition guidelines, which won’t feel like a diet and will be easier than you think
- Take their recommended nutritional products
- Sleep at least seven hours each night
If you can commit to the above, you’d be a good candidate for personal training with me.
But, before you commit to any programming, I’d like to meet with you for a consultation and a complimentary training session. That way, we can make sure we’re a good match before you make a financial commitment.

Getting Started
If we find that we’re a good match after an initial consultation, we’ll schedule your first training session soon after.
Strength and conditioning: Initially, we’ll perfect your technique in the foundational movements, such as squats, presses, and pulls. Getting good with the basics not only improves strength, mobility, and lean body mass, but it also ensures that you get the most out of other more complicated movements. As you get good with the basic movements, we’ll move onto more complicated ones. This is a BIG difference in how I train my clients compared to other personal trainers.
Nutrition & Supplementation: I’ll provide nutritional guidelines and supplement recommendations, but I tend to avoid strict diets unless you’re prepping for a physique competition or attending an event where you need to stand out from your high school buddies. For most men, adhering to a handful of simple guidelines and using some basic supplements is all they need to look, feel, and perform better than ever.
Lifestyle choices: Outside of getting adequate sleep, there are just a few other lifestyle choices that can get in the way of your goals. When necessary, we’ll address those as well, but I will always err on the side of simplicity and efficiency rather than making things complicated or time-consuming.
The bottom line is this:
Training Sessions
I currently training only at our studio in the Town of Hudson.
However, if you’re a member of one of the local gyms, you’ll be able to easily follow your program there when we’re not working out together.
Other Common Questions
Do you provide meal plans? While I do meal planning for special cases, such as prepping for a physique competition, I rarely recommend following a meal plan. Instead, I work with my clients to adopt a few practical and powerful nutrition guidelines, which allow them to eat wherever they are and whoever they’re with, and still make significant progress toward their goals. Meal plans tend to make people too obsessed with what they’re going to eat each day, and are impractical long-term.
Would you work with a couple? Yes. For example, if both a husband and a wife chose to train together, I would work with both of them at the same time.
If one-on-one personal training isn’t an option, do you work with people virtually? Yes. I offer Virtual Training as a way to get my professionally-designed strength programming no matter where you live. This is also a great option once my one-on-one clients are ready to workout on their own.
What is your experience? I started personal training on October 1, 2001. Over the past two decades, I’ve trained hundreds of clients and taught and trained thousands of trainers. I was a former Vice President of Nutrition and Virtual Training for Life Time, one of the top health and wellness brands in America, and a Vice President of Business Development for Thorne, the premier nutritional supplement brand in the United States. After resigning from corporate life, I started my own online personal training business, VIGOR Training.
In November of 2020, my wife and I moved just east of Hudson, Wisconsin, and recently added a training studio to the downstairs of our home, with all the equipment you’d need to build strength, muscle and athletic performance while dropping body fat and dramatically improving your health.
I have bachelor’s degree in pre-med biology from The College of St. Scholastica, and have received numerous fitness and nutrition certifications over the past two decades. However, I maintain only my CSCS and CISSN certifications from the NSCA and ISSN, respectively.
